Try to imagine how many stars there are in our universe or how many grains of sand there are on all the beaches of the Earth combined – the variator still has a lot more gears.

From what I've read the Dr Pulley Sliders seem to offer slightly better pickup at the expense of losing engine braking. Might be by scooter, but my MP3 500 had better engine braking with the Dr Pulleys installed. I have a GTS 300, currently standard.
